From a tender age, King Likuni was a promising child who performed exceptionally well in his academics. However, things became sour in his life after his parents took him to a traditional doctor with the belief that they were making his paths straight. Unbeknownst to them, this was but a gateway to disappointment in his academics for his encounter with the spiritualist bore laziness towards his school work. This consequently resulted in his academic performance drastically declining to the point where he attained a grade C in his primary leaving examination.
Things became worse when he advanced to his junior school as he was involved in bad company that influenced him to misbehave in class, disrespect teachers, smoke as well as sell cigarettes within the school grounds. Although he was fascinated by this mischievous behavior he portrayed, this reduced his academic performance to nothing as he was limited to getting D’s and E’s. As he progressed to senior school, King felt a desire to make things right in his life however all his efforts proved futile as he was limited to getting 27 points.
By the grace of God, the young man made his way to 3G Ministries in 2018, just a few months before he wrote his final BGCSE examinations. God being merciful, King attained 37 points which was an improvement leading him to secure a space from various tertiary institutions in order to further his studies. However, the courses King qualified for were not in alignment with his dream of being an engineer. It was only after receiving a message from Prophet Cedric titled “Falling is not failure” from one of his colleagues, that King made a heart’s decision to re-sit for his BGCSE as he believed that God would help him realize his dream.
This time around he actively enrolled in the PPS initiative where he received counsel from the Prophet through messages like, “You have to lose in order to gain” and “Keep your dream alive”. From these, he heed the instructions given in righteousness and consequently did away with smoking, going out with bad company and everything that was an enemy of his academics. Hope was rekindled in King’s heart as he later sat for his BGCSE to keep his dream alive. To God be the glory, when the results were released, King amazed himself as a massive improvement was noted in his double science award – he moved from a CC to A*A* and obtained a whopping 41 points overall all for the glory of God!
