A cast over his leg and crutches to his hands, Young Maikanyo Gatogang limped his way down to the church, unable to walk freely on his own. Each step he took was coupled with excruciating pain prompting him to tread in a slow, steady and well calculated manner; his was but the epitome of discomfort and agony. Having tripped on a stone while playing at school two days earlier, the young lad had suffered a toe fracture, of which the medics said would heal after three full weeks. Ever since the injury his movements were constricted, and his appetite, completely gone! “I could not eat because the pain on my leg was too severe,” said Maikanyo as he shared his experience.
During the course of one of the Sunday services, as the testimonies of the New Living sticker were being shared, Maikanyo had quiet a unique encounter with the Holy Spirit- no touch, no prophecy yet the pain on his leg instantly vanished! Well, from the onset, he had purposed it in his heart that he would go back home walking in the light of a new found healing hence this encounter was but the perfection of his faith. He had even packed a pair of shoes believing that he would go home wearing both of them. “As I was listening to the testimonies, I heard a crackling sound on my toe, as though my bones were coming together. Instantly the pain vanished and I could walk on my own,” he added.
It has been two full weeks now and Maikanyo is completely healed, he is able to walk freely, eat freely and play freely, as it should be with a child his age.
