“For you were once darkness but now, you are Light in the Lord. Live as children of Light, for the fruits of Light consist in all Goodness, Righteousness and Truth and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of the dark, but rather expose them. It is shameful what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible – and everything that is illuminated becomes a Light.” [Ephesians 5: 8 -13]
In God receiving is not a big deal however, maintenance is! You have just received the promise of God which is the Light. If care is not taken; continuing to live the ugly life of darkness, you are more likely to lose the Light you have received. Light and darkness cannot share a room, for when the Light comes, darkness must flee!
You need to submit to the Spirit for the Light to continue in you and this cannot be possible if your Bible is shut because it teaches you the Truth. Nobody knows their last day on earth and it doesn’t matter whether it is the day of blessing or curse, winter or summer, challenges or breakthrough because it was long set on the very day you were born. Surely then, you must live your life under the sun portraying Jesus Christ; having nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness.
Jesus is simply saying, you need to give yourself to the Spirit this year because it demands more prayer, fasting, time, attention, love, goodness, truthfulness, commitment, forgiveness, devotion and giving; MORE OF YOUR BEST!
THE GRACE OF GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU!
